Values

Kingdom Ambition

We desire to God's Kingdom come for all of our clients. We pray that they will flourish and succeed in fulfilling the unique Kingdom Purpose God has given them. We seek to center our work around advancing the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). In our personal and professional lives we seek the Lord's help to set our hearts and minds on things above (Colossians 3:1-2).

Excellence

We seek to "work as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23)" through engagements that exemplify excellence and encourage clients to stay on Mission. Our prayer is that each client will "stand firm, let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." (I Corinthians 15:58).

Partnership

We operate in partnership with our clients. We believe that we are stronger together. "There is wisdom in a multitude of advisors (Proverbs 24:6)." Likewise, "a chord of three strands is not easily broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

We seek to encourage others in the work God is calling them to. "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6)." In every engagement, we strive to demonstrate the unity and love of Christ (Philippians 2:1-11).

Prayer

We believe that we are all prone to drift and must pay attention to the Lord's teaching (Hebrews 2:1). We are dependent on the Lord and seek his guidance for ourselves, our work, and on behalf of our clients. We pray that our clients and our team would would be filled with "the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10)." We remember that, "unless the Lord builds the house the labors work in vain (Psalm 127:1-2)."

Open-handed

Recognizing that we have been given much (I Corinthians 4:7), we seek to give generously to others in sharing resources and knowledge, as well as in giving a portion of total revenue to organizations that seek to advance the Kingdom of God.

Joy & Gratitude

We seek to, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (I Thessalonians 5:16-18)."

History

On Mission’s services were unintentionally incubated at HOPE International following the publication of the book Mission Drift in 2014. Following the book, On Mission’s founder developed mission-focused assessments to discern how well HOPE’s global offices were doing in fulfilling its Mission. During this time other organizations began approaching HOPE for support in keeping their organization’s on Mission. To meet this demand for workshops and assessments, On Mission was created.

Today, On Mission’s services include a growing range of assessments, workshops, strategy and change management engagements, all with the same focus on providing Kingdom-focused leaders with practical support to advance their Mission. As a distinctively Christian management consulting and design firm, we seek to advance our clients Christ-centered ambitions in every engagement.

Watch this 3-minute case study of one of our early clients, The Karis Group, to learn how we helped them to refocus their Mission.
